The Defense Megacenter Chambersburg is looking for Two (2) Contractors to perform the following warehouse duties: Escort outside personnel in the computer rooms, Continuity of Operations (COOP) Run: Obtain vehicle, obtain carts from storage locations, load carts in vehicle, transport carts to off site location, unload and take carts to storage facility, load old carts in vehicle, take back to site & return vehicle. Deinstall and move automated data processing equipment to and from the computer room floor. Equipment is highly sensitive and has a high dollar value. Care in moving and packaging the equipment is critical. Install baseboard, cut, install and replace ceiling tile, remove boxes of tapes from the computer room to the disposal yard. Test bus and tag cables, install and pull bus and tag cables, deliver paper to various areas throughout the Megacenter. Must be able to use a forklift or pallet jack to load and off load tractor trailers or for rotating stock in the storage areas. Install and remove computer room raised floor tile. Assemble and disassemble various types of furniture, i.e., workstations, chairs, tables, etc. Deliver 5 gallon containers of water. Set up various audio visual equipment. Inventory materials in various warehouses, secure warehouse when unattended, general housekeeping of warehouse, take supplies from warehouse to computer rooms or administrative areas. Take excess material to Defense Reutilization and Marketng area. Receive and issue of supplies. Miscellaneous duties, i.e., Carpentry, Painting. Must be able to use various power tools to complete some of the work. Must be able to prepare and complete Government Supply Documents. Must be able to use a Degaussing Machine. Remove snow from warehouse docks and ramps. Work would be completed manually or by using a snow blower. Must be able to use a shredder machine. Perform daily maintenance on electric forklift, i.e., keep battery charged, add water to battery as needed. Maintain daily vehicle maintenance, i.e., check fluids, wash/clean vehicles, check brakes, horn, etc. Interested personnel must have the following qualifications: Must have a Secret Security Clearance, Must have a valid Drivers License and able to obtain a Government license to operate a 5 1/2 Ton Truck (Box truck w/hydraulic lift or open stake truck) and a 2 Ton Truck, 15 passenger Van and a 4x4 Jeep with snowblade. Must have insurance to cover any damage that may occur while moving equipment. Must be able to lift excess of 70 pounds. Duty hours would be flexible; COOP days 0600-1430 hours and all other days work hours would be 0700-1530 or 0730-1600 hours. Drug/Alcohol Free. Provide safety equipment, i.e., safety shoes, glasses, respirators, etc. Must have excellent communication skills to interface with many different branches and external activities. Two personnel will be required to work the same shift 5 days per week. Any Contractor able to provide these services must provide information regarding capability not later than 15 Mar 96. (0053)
