Officer, (505) 784-4504. This is an intent to acquire on a sole source
basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-2(c) with Autocon Industries,
Inc. for the purchase of software relative to Cannon's Water/Waste
treatment system. The requested software is an update to the Microcat
Class 9800 Master telemetry system. This system is used to monitor,
control, record data, analyze, and alarm the various pumps, wells,
water tanks, and sewage systems at Cannon AFB, NM. The system operates
via phone and radio transmission. The complete monitoring and
operations of the water/waste plant operations is built around the
Microcat monitoring and telemetry system. The software and ancillary
hardware required is proprietary in nature and exclusive to Autocon
Industries, Inc. Interested persons may identify their interest and
capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This
notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However
all proposals received within 15 calendar days after date of
publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A
determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract
based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of
the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely
for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive
procurement. Ancillary equipment such as the upgraded Microcat
Reporter, Kopykat 1.1 Remote Access/Diagnostics, and Microcat R.T.U.
Communication Upgrades will depend upon the new proprietary upgraded
software in order to function properly in the field. There is no
acceptable substitute available due to the pre-existing conditions.
There is an urgency to the purchase of this equipment in order to
maintain adequate stability and reliability of Cannon's Water supply
and distribution systems for the purpose of base consumption as well as
mission flying requirements. All equipment must be compatible with the
existing system. All responsible sources may submit a offer which
