The Air Force Development Test Center (AFDTC) intends to acquire competitively one (1) each pallet gravity roller conveyor system for the 919 OSS/DONR to be located in Hangar 3025 at Duke Field, Eglin Air Force Base (AFB), Florida. The system shall also include in-line scales as part of the gravity roller conveyor system. The gravity roller conveyor and scale system shall consist of 3 roller conveyor lanes with four roller sections spaced equally under each pallet. The roller conveyor system shall aid in the off-loading, build-up, and staging of the different types of air drop pallets. The pallets will be stored on the roller lanes and will be picked up with a 6,000 or 10,000 pound capacity forklift and transferred to a K-Loader for transportation to the aircraft. All roller frames, rollers, bearings, roller shafts, scales, and guiderails shall be capable of withstanding repeated impacts from the on-loading of fully loaded pallets without suffering any permanent deformations. A total of 24 pallet stops shall be required for the system. Four pallet stops (one stop per roller conveyor section) shall be located at each end of the gravity conveyor lanes. All gravity roller lanes shall have pallet guiderails. Standard commercial warranty is required. Required delivery is 120 days or sooner after award of the contract. Col Dennis Voss has been appointed by the AFDTC Commander to hear offerors' or potential offerors' confidential concerns, if any, regarding this acquisition. His purpose is not to replace the technical staff or contracting officer but to serve as an honest broker and communicate any contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel.
