The scope of work and level of performance as delineated in the solicitation are to be priced by the Government as well as interested commercial small business concerns. The decision to award a contract will be based on a cost comparison which determines whether the work can more economically be performed by contract contractor or Federal employees. Services required include the furnishing of all personnel, equipment, services and supplies to perform shelf stocking, custodial, and receiving/storage/holding area services for the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) commissary store located at Fort Lewis, Washington in accordance with the Government's Performance Work Statement (PWS). The base period is November 1, 1996 through October 31, 1997 and includes four (4) one-year option periods. No previous history for contractor performed services exists at this location. THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. THE STANDARD INDUSTRIAL CLASSIFICATION NUMBER IS 7389 AND THE BUSINESS SIZE STANDARD IS $5.0 MILLION. VENDORS MUST INDICATE THEIR BUSINESS SIZE ON EACH REQUEST FOR SOLICITATION. This solicitation will be issued on or about March 15, 1996 with a tentative closing date of April 15, 1996.
