The Ballistic Missile Defense Organization (BMDO) requires the purchase and installation of access control and ancillary equipment to be located on the 5th, 8th, 10th and 12th floors at Crystal Square 2, 1725 Jefferson Davis Highway, Arlington, VA 22202. The following list of hardware and software is required: (a) Schlage Electronics (SE) Model 808S Access Controller and Alarm Monitor (One on 5th, 8th, 10th), 3 ea, (b)Door card readers and accessories for four doors, (One door on 5th floor, one door on 8th floor, and two doors on 10th floor), 8 ea, (c) Door switches for emergency exits, lobby doors, card reader doors and equipment cabinets, 13 ea, (d) Emergency Alarm Exit Locks for emergency exits, 5 ea, (e)Indicator lights, 12 ea, (f) Remote door release buttons for three doors, 3 ea, (g)Request-to-exit button for one door (8th floor), 1 ea, (h) Door bell for one door (8th floor), 1 ea, (i) 20 milliamp current loop ''active'' receive/active transmit adapters for chaining 808S controllers, 1 lot, (j) All associated cables, wiring, hardware, and software, 1 lot. The contractor shall install the door access control hardware to include readers, electrical locks, control devices and accessories in accordance with manufacturer's recommended installation procedures. Installation is anticipated to occur between April and June 1996. The contractor will reconfigure the host MicroVAX 3100/80 computer to ensure proper operation with the additional 808S controllers, and configure the guard station monitors. The contractor also shall be required to provide one day of system training for four BMDO computer room operators who will support the system, both at the BMDO Pentagon facility and at the BMDO Crystal City Annex. A site inspection to ensure an accurate understanding of the work required will be required. The contract will be a Fixed Price Contract. The planned contract award is in April 1996. The acquisition is being offered as a total small business set-aside limited to eligible small businesses as defined in Standard Industrial Classification Code, 7382, Security Systems Devices, Burglar and Fire Alarm: Monitoring and Maintenance ($9.0 million). The Government intends to post any future information related to this request to the BMDO Acquisition Reporting Bulletin Board (BARBB).
