Burris, Contract Specialist The Navy requires 59 each Motorola Power Personal Computer Systems, Part No. MVME 1604-023, for integration of the AN/SPS-48E Radar with the AN/SYS-2 Integrated Automatic Detection Tracking System (IADT) and for integration of the AN/SPS-40E Radar with the AN/SYS-2(V) (IADT). The specifications for the computer systems are as follows: Motorola Power PC Model, MVME 1604-023, 133 MHz; CPU, MPC 604; Memory Dram 32 MByte; Memory Flash 1 MByte; Memory Cashe 256 KByte; Ethernet Interface; SCSI Interface; Graphics Output; Four Serial I/O; One Parallel I/O. Delivery shall commence within 30 days after the effective date of the contract. F.O.B. destination terms apply with inspection and acceptance at NAVSURFWARCENDIV Crane. The acquisition of the Motorola brand name power personal computer systems is essential to the Government's requirements, thereby precluding consideration of a product manufactured by another company. The intended Motorola source has the only verified and validated hardware which will execute the exisiting tactical software. Therefore, this acquisition will be issued on a sole-source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(c) for the Motorola brand name systems.
