6.302-1 ''Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services
will satisfy agency requirements'', intends to procure cA2 antibody
from Centocor, 244 Great Valley Pkwy, Malvern, PA 19355. The cA2
antibody is a monoclonal chimeric anti-TNF (tumor necrosis factor)
antibody. This antibody was developed in an effort to combat a variety
of diseases in which TNF possibly may be a destructive or pathogenic
cytokine. This cA2 antibody is required for a critical ongoing patient
care study. The antibody will be utilized in a Phse II Acquired
Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) trial in an effort to determine the
efficacy of this treatment modality. It is the Government's belief that
these requirements will only be met by Centocor. However, concerns that
respond to this notice must furnish concise responses directed
specifically to the requirements mentioned above. Sources demonstrating
the capability to accomplish the above shall supply: pertinent
information in sufficient detail to demonstrate that ability to
perform, enough material to perform a proper evaluation, terms and
conditions, shipping information, pricing and availability. Responses
are to be received (15) days from the date of issuance in the CBD.
