Specialist, or Mr. Lawrence Asch, Contracting Officer, (908) 532-5486.
A multi-service Integrated Product Team (IPT) is conducting a market
survey of the capability for Global Broadcast Service (GBS) injection
and receive terminals based on commericial off-the-shelf technology
(COTS). It is envisioned that a two phase terminal development segment
will be required to meet all GBS program objectives. The first phase
will require terminals to support ground based satellite segment
testing projected for mid CY1997 and on-orbit testing in early CY1988.
The first phase satellite segment will consist of a Ka band satellite
package. The IPT will provide a summary of projected capabilities
required for fixed injection terminals, mobile injection terminals,
transportable receive terminals, shipborne receive terminals, and
airborne receive terminals on the CECOM electronic bulletin board (EBB)
by 6 March 1996. The IPT will host Industry one-on-one sessions during
the period 20-21 March 1996 to give industry an opportunity to join
the IPT and help the Government become a smarter buyer. The sessions
will have limited Government/Industry attendees and will be a maximum
of 1.5 hours each. For reservations for a one-on-one session, or for
more information, please contact CPT Lynn Kinley or Mr. Lawrence Asch
