1560-K0-172-277BBJ This cutting tool contract is one of 3 contracts
that will provide the RAAF and USAF (option) with the necessary tooling
and hardware for the f111 cold work mod. This ctk is for the cutting
tooling only; reamers, drill bushings, and 3 constant pressure pull
motors. These reamers are designed to work w/ the motor to avoid heat
damage to the D6Ac steel. Vendors will need to be MIL I qualifie and
first article testing by the govt is required. The USAF will provide
all needed eng data for mfr. This will be an indefinite quantity
contract. 1Lt. Applicable to: F111. Destn: Mc Clellan Air Force Base Ca
95652-1060. Delivery: 28 Feb 97 1 Lt The approximate issue/response
date will be 08 Mar 96. First article test required. No telephone
requests. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the
requestor are acceptable. All responsible sources solicited may submit
a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered. An Ombudsman
has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential
offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The
purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the
program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor
concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the
appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will
maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The
Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the
source selection process. Interested parties are invited to call the
Ombudsman, Allen Taylor at 916-643-5209 if your concerns are not
satisfied by the contracting officer. (Do not call this number to
request copies of solicitations.) AFMC Blue Ribbon Contractor program
may apply. While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation
of offers, the contract award decision may be based on a combination of
price, price related factors, and past performance factors as detailed
in the solicitation. We request that you exercise prudence before
requesting a complete solicitation package. The Government incurs a
cost in excess of $1.00 for each data card produced. It is recommended
that prior to requesting a full solicitation package, you review the
National Stock Number (NSN), part number and description of the
asset/service in order to determine your capabilities to produce the
asset/perform the service requested. Annual cost savings to the
