P -- LIQUIDATE GOVERNMENT PERSONAL PROPERTY SOL DAAA08-96-R-0007 DUE 042696 POC Contact major Michael Ford, (309) 782-8590, Contract Specialist The Rock Island Arsenal is seeking a contract to prepare and Market large quantities of surplus Government property and equipment located at an excessed Army ammunition plant located in ravenna, Ohio. A significant portion of the work effort includes the removal of all friable asbestos located at the installation. The marketing work effort consists of assessing personal and installed property Market value, developing a distributing sales brochures, conducting auctions and sales, maintaining a property disbursement AUDIT trail with an accounts receivable ledger, managing property removal and identifying environmental/Health hazards that interfere with the property liquidation process. The ammunition plant is located on 21,419 acres containing approximately 1,376 buildings with approx. 5.0 million square feet. There are approximately 10,000 items of personal property. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipmentmaterials, supplies, managerial orchestration, utilities, officespace, and on-site sanitation facilities to accomplish this effort. It is anticipated that the contract will be awarded to the lowestprice, technically sufficient offeror.
