Reagan, Contracting Officer; Phone: 908-532-1981, Fax: 908-532-6019 or 908- 427-3113. The U.S. Army intends to procure 2 Each POWER ADAPTER TYPE DEVICES. PURPOSE: The devices will be used to evaluate the effectiveness of using a DC power source instead of batteries to operate portable Communications/Electronics equipment in the field. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: As a minimum, it is required that this DC power source have the following capabilities: 1) 120/220 VAC or 24 VDC input power source. 2) 40-440 HZ single phase. 3) Provide varying DC voltage outputs from 1.5 to 28 volts. 4) Operate at least 20 same or different equipments at one time. 5) Output current for each outlet should be 10 AMPs and each power outlet should be isolated and protected. 6) Watertight. DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS: Desirables for this DC power source are: 1) Displays/Indicator should be Night Vision compatible. 2) Battery backup. DELIVERY: Delivery of these devices will be required within 6 weeks of purchase. These devices may be a commercially available item. This procurement will be accomplished using Simplified Acquision Procedures with a Government Purchase Order IAW FAR Part 13. Solicitation release is expected on or about 23 Feb 96.
