In addition, there will be two option bid items to the contract. Optional Bid Item A: Cut 7 from Sta. 0+00 to Sta. 5+79.95 and Sta. 16+00 thru Sta. 24+00; Cut 8 from Sta. 1+00 thru Sta. 12+00 and Sta. 18+00 thru Sta. 24+66.35; Cut 9 from Sta. 0+00 thru Sta. 17+00; Cut 12 from Sta. 0+00 thru Sta. 4+96.23; Cut 13 from Sta. 0+00 thru Sta. 13+00; and, Cut 14/15 from Sta. 15+00 thru Sta. 26+00 to 38-foot required depth plus 2- foot allowable overdepth. Optional Bid Item B: Bar Cut 3 from Sta. 223+50 to Sta. 300+00; Cut 4 from Sta. 0+00 to Sta. 15+00; Cut 5 from Sta. 0+00 to Sta 13+58.23; and, Cut 6 from Sta. 0+00 to Sta. 24+72.08 to 38-foot required depth plus 2-foot allowable overdepth. The total amount of material to be dredged for the Base Bid is approximately 260,000 cubic yards and the total amount of material to be dredged for all Option Bid Items is approximately 370,000 cubic yards. The dredged material from the Base Bid and Optional Bid Item A will be placed in Disposal Area 2-A (Buck Island) and the dredged material from Optional Bid Item B will be placed on the South Beach (Navy Beach). Magnitude of Construction is betwen $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Pre-Solicitation Notice will be issued on or about 31 Jan 96. Invitation DACW17-96-B-0010 will be issued on or about 29 Feb 96 and opened on or about 01 Apr 96. Cost of Plans and Specifications is $35.00 (Non-Refundable).
