COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF FEBRUARY 9,1996 PSA#1528VA MEDICAL CENTER, 3495 BAILEY AVENUE, BUFFALO, NY 14215 70 -- VIDEOTELECONFERENCING SOL 528-16-96 DUE 022496 POC Contact
Point, ROSANNE J. RACZKOWSKI, (716)862-3677 The VA Western New York
Healthcare System would like to negotiate a contract with Sprint
Communications Corporation to procure inital installation, integration
and on-going maintenance of three (3) BBN VNAD/VTEL systems for the
purposes of integrating full motion videoteleconferencing that will
interoperate with the VA IDCU Frame Relay network using the TCP/IP
protocol. Requirement calls for the ability to provide single
integrated network system over the VA IDCU Frame Relay network by
guaranteeing full compatibility with Frame Relay, the TCP/IP protocol
and the VTEL 227 M Media Max videoteleconferencing system. System must
be able to take both audio and video signal from the VTEL codec and
packetize into IP datagrams for transmission over a fully deployed
router based data network. System must be able to support multipoint
conferencing without the need for a Multipoint Control Unit (MCU), nor
interface with a pre-existing MCU. Network is to be up and running by
April 7, 1996. Concerns having the ability to provide the above
requirements must provide in writing only data to support capabilities
within 15 calendar days from publication of this notice. Please
provide to the address above and include telephone number. (0038) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0407 19960208\70-0010.SOL)
