R -- PATENT AND TRADEMARK SERVICES SOL 52SBNB6C9056 POC Catherine Poole, Contract Specialist (301) 975-4154 POC Pauline Mallgrave (301) 975-6330 Services of two Contractors are sought to perform patent filing, prosecution and related services for the Office of Federal Patent Licensing, National Technical Information Service (NTIS). The Contractors shall perform necessary services primarily for the filing and prosecution of foreign patent applications, directly or through foreign associates or agents as required, and for the filing and prosecution of domestic patents, including the preparation of amendments, briefs, appeals, oppositions and other documents. It shall occasionally be required that the Contractor perform services for the prosecution of recently filed or ongoing third party patent applications; filing and prosecution of trademarks, copyrights or other forms of intellectual property, and shall provide opinions on patent, trademark, or copyright validity or infringement. The Government anticipates two contracts awarded from this one solicitation. The Government anticipates the award of a labor hour contract, in which contractors will be reimbursed for actual time spent at previously agreed upon (firm-fixed) labor rates. Approval expenses, such as patent office fees will be reimbursed by the Government at actual cost. The period of performance will be one (1) year from date of award, with the option to extend for four (4) additional years.
