K -- REGRIGERANT CONVERSION OF TEST CHAMBERS SOL N00178-96-Q-0106 DUE 030796 POC Laurel M. Campbell, Procurement Agent 540-653-4902. The Government intends to convert a basic quantity of two temperature and humidity (T & H) chambers: Russells Technical Products M/N RWD-677-(2)-60C and Tenny Walk-in, Russells Machine Section M/N 30-30 from the use of CFC regrigerants to new environmentally safe/compatible regrigerants with options to convert up to three additional chambers. The three additional chambers are as follows - Russells Technical Products Models RWD-677-(2)-60C, 2 ea; and Model RD 64-25-25, 1 ea. Remove all CFCs inclusive of R-13, R-502, and R12 regrigerants. Refrigerants shall be replaced with AZ50 HFC R-507 and R-23 HFC, SULVA-95 HFC. The contractor shall replace all filter dryers, high efficiency valve plates, and oil separators. The contractor shall modify the R13 regrigerant injection expansion circuits as required. Follow-up operation and inspection of the systems by the contractor shall be required to ensure proper operation. The contractor shall dispose of hazardous waste products and all mineral oils in accordance with current environmental guidelines. Requestors shall be certified by EPA to service equipment containing Class 1 Ozone depleting substances, and equipment used for removal must be EPA certified by the temperature and humidity chamber manufacturers. Contractor shall comply with OPNAVINST.5090.1B, Chapter 6. Place of performance shall be the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren, VA. The anticipated duration of the purchase order shall be from date of award through 30 September 1996. This procurement will be processed under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Written quotations shall be issued. Requests for quotes shall be requested in writing or via fax (540) 653-6812 to NSWCDD, Attn: L.M. Campbell, Code S18, 17320 Dahlgren Rd, Dahlgren, VA 22448. Reference quotation number N00178-96-Q-0106. Anticipated award date shall be two (2) weeks after the closing date of the Request for Quotation. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by NSWCDD. The SIC 1711 which applies to this procurement identifies a Small Business as one having annual average gross revenue for the last three (3) fiscal years of no more than 7 million dollars.
