Runway 36R, Memphis International Airport, Memphis, Tennessee.--Work
includes, but is not limited to, clearing of approximately 13 acres of
trees and vegetation with grubbing of approximately ten (10) acres as
required; excavation as required; installation of geotextile fabric
and stone base; installation of approximately 11,000 cubic yards of
fill and compaction to raise the area above the wetlands; installation
of a compactedgravel road on the berm and installation of drainage
pipe as required. Work shall include demolition of any structures with
site cleanup and restoration as stated in the plans and
specifications.--Estimated performance time 45 calendar days--Estimated
price range is $250,000.00 - $500,000.00.--All responsible sources may
submit a bid which shall be considered.--NOTE: This Notice is for
informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged
Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of
Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to
assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to
acquire short-term workingcapital and bonding assistance for
transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible
prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program
enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to
$1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on
the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under
the DOTShort Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to
provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is
