This is a notice of intent to prequalify contractors desiring to be placed on prequalified contractor's list for a period of twelve months from notice of prequalification for the construction of new postal facilities and selected remodeling and alteration projects in various locations in Arizona and may include but not limited to, Phoenix-South Mountain Station, approximately 29,538 gross square feet; Phoenix-Desert Foothills Station, approximately 27,217 gross square feet; Chino Valley-Main Post Office, approximately 18,717 gross square feet; Bullhead City-Carrier Annex, approximately 5,589 gross square feet. Construction is conventional building in accordance with US Postal Service standard plans. Estimated construction cost for each project range from 1 million to 4 million. Planned construction dates are unknown at this time. Primary factors that will be considered are: construction experience, financial stability, capacity, and references and previous clients. Other factors to be considered will include: project management capabilities, company organization, previous construction of Postal Service facilities, geographic location and MBE participation and commitment. A target of seven most highly qualified firms will be prequalified. Applications will be evaluated by the Contracting Officer's staff, and all firms will be advised within 60 days of receipt of their application as to prequalification status. Firms selected as being the most highly qualified will be placed on the prequalification list.
