Swift, (804) 322-4135 The Atlantic Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Norfolk, Virginia intends to acquire tree removal services at the AEGIS Combat Systems Center, Wallops Island, Virginia. The Government intends to obtain by means of a firm, fixed-price,lump-sum contract the removal of approximately four-hundred ten (410) trees and stumps at the Aegis Combat Systems Center, Housing Support Site, Wallops Island, Virginia. The Contractor shall be required to use standard arboricultural practices andequipment to accomplish this work. The site consists of 28 single family homes within a mature pine forest. Utilities on the site are located underground. The mature trees are approximately 60 years old and 70 feet tall. The trees and stumps to beremoved are marked with a red ''X'' at breast height. Total contract duration not to exceed 30 days. Specifications will be available on or about 31 January 1996. Verbal requests will not be accepted.
