Contact, Tara Anuskewisz, 303-676-7458 Synopsis number 96049. This is
a Request for Information (RFI). 8(a) businesses are being sought for
consideration for an 8(a) set-aside to perform hardware maintenance on
Unisys equipment located at Defense Megacenter (DMC) Denver, 6760 East
Irvington Place, Bldg. 444, Computer Room, Denver, CO 80279-8000 and
the Storefront Detachment, 8899 E. 56th St., Bldg. 1, Computer Room
3211, Ft. Benjamin Harrison, Indianapolis, IN 46249-2801. The DMC
operates a 24-hour data center. Maintenance shall consist of: on-site,
preventive and remedial maintenance of hardware items composing a
Unisys system 2200/404 and 2200/622ES, DCP 50, 30, 40, and related
components from date of contract award through 30 September 1996. The
contract also provides for two option years: 1 October 1996 - 30
September 1997 and 1 October 1997 - 30 September 1998. Maintenance
response time for all equipment is two (2) hours; maintenance repair
time is four (4) hours. Respondents must supply sufficient technical
documentation for the Government to determine the ability to meet the
requirements. Evidence in the following two areas shall be submitted.
(1) Ability to perform under the contract, stressing your companys
capability. This shall include: (a) Identification of specific Unisys
experience and performance in conducting hardware maintenance, similar
to the equipment requiring maintenance. Provide the history,
Agency/company, point of contact, phone number, term length, size, and
location of previously held and existing commercial/government
business commitments/contracts in Unisys maintenance. Describe any
maintenance service accomplishments while performing under these
contracts; (b) Outline how the services will be performed. Inform of
any intent to subcontract and how the requirement will be fulfilled in
compliance with FAR 52.219-14. Specify how the requirement will be met
with the firms man power and labor categories versus subcontractors man
power and labor (by percentage) of the allocation of resources
including the percentage of time for proposed key personnel. Indicate
the personnel that will be involved and provide personnel experience as
it pertains to performing these duties; (c) Describe the logistics of
performing at both the Denver and Indianapolis locations; and (d)
Specify the arrangement associated with obtaining/utilizing the access
and rights to acquire software (internal embedded microcode) and
engineering updates and enhancements from the Original Equipment
Manufacturer as well as access to obtain supplies. (2) Organizational
criteria which shall include descriptive management practices and
comprehensive data of the companys financial condition. This is a
request for information only and will assist DMC Denver in determining
if an 8(a) set-aside is feasible. No solicitation is available at this
time. No contract will be awarded as a result of this RFI. Responses
must be submitted within 15 days of this notice to the following
