Synopsis No: 4000-96--Restricted--It is the Government's intent to acquire on a sole source basis from The Geologic Survey of Alabama subsurface site investigation of the Redstone Arsenal landfill. The Geologic Survey of Alabama is a state funded agency established to support the state of Alabama with regard to geologic and hydrogeologic matters. Services consists of obtaining site information required to adequately characterize the site relative to the subsurface hydraulic conditions and to allow for the preparation of a functional ground-water pump and treat system. The work will focus on determining flow patterns, both vertical and horizontal, and trends on or near the boundaries of Redstone Arsenal to evaluate potential sources of contamination.
