Automation Center, Austin, Texas intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed
Price Contract for the rental of 300-350 IBM Compatible Pentium 525MB
PC's and other ADP related equipment to support the VA's Information
Technology Conference held May 17, 1996 through May 23, 1996. Also
required is MacIntosh PC's with MAC Power PC 8100, Pentium 120 systems
to be configured as Microsoft NT File Servers, OS-2 compatible Pentium
120 system or greater capable of installing Winview from Citrix and
compatible with Winview for Networks 2.3 software, NOVELL Netware 3.12
compatible Pentium 120 systems, HP Laser Jet IV Printers with 6
megabytes of memory and Jet Direct interface cards that support the
Microsoft NT and NOVELL installed on each, HP Laser Jet IV MacIntosh
compatible printer with post scrip option and 6 megabytes of memory and
Jet Direct interfact card with 10-Base-T/BNC, Multi-Media systems to
include 4X CD ROM Drives with sound card and speakers and Edternal 14.4
Hayes cmopatible FAX/Modem with interface cable. The specific
quantities will be identified in the solicitation document. A minimum
of 4 personnel will be required for set up and breakdown at the
convention center, of which two personnel must be technicians and one
of which must be a LAN expert. Two technicians are required on site at
the conference from 7:00am to 5:00pm and must have the ability to be
paged during off-hours. Spare equipment will be required on-site to
minimize downtime. Supply a minimum of 4 walkie talkies for the
duration of the conference to communicate between the two technicians
and VA personnel. The solicitation will be required by COB 2/16/96. All
requests shall be in writing and may be FADED utilizing 512-326-6028.
All requests shall contain documentation in sufficient detail to
substantiate the prospective offerors ability to perform the
requirement. Failure to submit sufficient documentation is the
requestors responsibility and may render the request for a copy of the
solicitation as non responsive. All responses from responsible sources
