SWIZEWSKI, (215)697-9633 FISC Norfolk Det Philadelphia intends to procure 1,800 each soft-cover copies of the ''NATIONAL GUIDE TO EDUCATIONAL CREDIT FOR TRAINING PROGRAMS (1996 edition)'' or equal. The author/publisher American Council on Education or equal shall provide a listing of credit recommendations for formal educational programs and courses sponsored by non-collegiate organizations. These organizations shall include business and industry, labor unions, professional and voluntary associations, and government agencies. The required guide shall also contain credit recommendations for courses offered by home-study schools accredited by the National Home Study Council under specified conditions. This publication is often referred to as the PONSI (Program on Non-Collegiate Sponsored Instruction) Guide. The PONSI program is coordinated by the American Council on Education (ACE) along with the Commission on Education Credentials approving the policies and procedures. Delivery is required to the Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES), Pensacola, FL by 01 April 1996 . All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered equally by FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia. The proposed solicitation is expected to be issued approximately 29 January 1996.
