The work required to be performed by the Contractor shall consist of, but is not limited to, the following principal items: Construct site work to include extending utilities to building site to include trenching and backfilling. Construct foundation slab on grade over compacted fill; Construct concrete block building, 4.880 meters by 7.925 meters, complete with built-up roofing. Construct interior walls, and install hollow metal doors, and frames. Contractor shall provide all material, labor and equipment for the installation of branch circuit panel, main distribution panel, padmount transformer, underground power to include manholes, trenching, backfilling, conduit, concrete encasement, conductors, resoding, power within building to include lighting, receptacles, switches, conduit, conductors, mounting hardware, outlets boxes, ground grid system, radio type fire alarm system to include fire alarm control panel, detectors, omidirectional antenna, lighting arrestors, conduit and conductors. Contractor shall provide and install cable racks for communications and cable tray for power requirements. Contractor shall coordinate with Power Production on scheduling power outage to ensure neither the existing or new facility is without backup power. Contractor shall provide built up slab for generator and fuel tank; provide trenching, covers for fuel lines and power. Performance is 200 calendar days. This notice is for Solicitation F41650- 96-B-0401, 1 Job Lump Sum. The magnitude of the proposed project is between 250,000.00 and 500,000.00. Tentative date of issue is 29 Feb 96 with a tentative opening date of 29 March 96. Pre-solicitation notices were issued 19 Jan 96. The proposed acquisition listed here is being considered for 100, percent set-aside for small business concerns. Interested small businesses concerns should, as early as possible but not later then 15 days of this notice, indicate interest in the acquisition by providing written notice to the contracting office above evidence of capability to perform (including references for similar work with telephone number, points of contact and contract numbers) and a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, evidence of capability includes experience in the specific construction area advertised as well as bonding capability. If adequate interest is not received from small businesses concerns, the solicitation will be issued as full & open competition without further notice.
