030696 POC Contracting Division at: (402) 221-4266. The work will
include the following: (Approx. quantities) Construction of a one
story, 40,000 S.F., Sailplane Hangar consisting of reinforce concrete
foundation and floor slabs, precast concrete walls and beams,
cast-in-place concrete columns, and steel deck on steel joist roof
structure. The building construction will include the following: Four
Bi-fold Hangar doors (82'x14'), translucent insulated glazing panels,
aluminum storefront system with composite metal panels, SBS modified
bitumen roof system over rigid insulation, CMU walls around the
perimeter of a 750 S.F. restroom facility confined to the SW corner of
the hangar. Other miscellaneous items include: doors, hardware, toilet
partitions & accessories, ceramic tile, painting, signage, electrical
transformer, electrical distribution & lighting, ligtning protection,
grounding system, security lighting, exit lighting, fire detection and
alarm system, telephone, grading, storm water drainage, culverts,
bituminous pavement, miscellaneous concrete work, 8'' PVC waterline,
fire hydrant, 8'' ductile iron sanitary line, concrete sepetic holding
tanks, plumbing, piping, seeding, and dismantlement and transport of
a 7200 S.F. pre-engineered metal building to a new location. The
Hangar, itself, will not be heated. It will be naturally ventilated by
intake louvers and rooftop relief hoods. The restroom facilities
within the hangar will be heated with electric unit heaters and
ventilated with exhaust fans. No air conditioning will be provided in
the entire facility. The estimated construction cost of this project is
between $2,500,000 and $5,000,000. Contractor's Quality Control will be
a requirement in this contract. The Contractor will be required to
commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the
work 365 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions
will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete
the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be
required. Bid sets will be available on/a February 5, 1996. Half-size
plans and specifications will be furnished upon request. All requests
for solicitation packages should be made in writing no later than 14
days prior to bid opening. After such time, packages will be furnished
if supply is available. It has been determined that the number of sets
be limited to 1 (one) per firm (additional copies will be the
responsibility of the requestor). Please list street address (for
