DAHLGREN, Va 22448-5100 99 -- AERODYNAMIC PARTICLE SIZERS (APS) OPTICAL ASSEMBLIES POC
Kimberly Elbon, Contract Specialist, Code S11C, Paul Learn, Contracting
Officer, Code S11, (540) 653-7478. The Naval Surface Warfare Center,
Dahlgren Division proposes to modify Contract N00178-95-C-1046 with
TSI, Incorporated of St. Paul, Minnesota to increase the number of
deliverables. The items to be procured include 8 additional Aerodynamic
Particle Sizer (APS) Optical Assembiles Model number APS 3310 and 2
Aerodynamic Particle Sizer (APS) assemblies model number APS 3320. Each
APS model number APS 3310 shall consist of optics, a sensing chamber,
a laser power supply, an inlet nozzle and a photo multiplier tube
detector. The assemblies shall meet the Navy's minimum requirement to
size and count particles between the ranges of .5 to 30 microns with a
bandwidth of .3 microns. Furthermore, the Navy requires that
classified sizes, which are to be programmable and detected, shall be
transmitted as an analog pulse output to a Navy provided processing
unit. Each APS model number APS 3320 shall consist of optics, a sensing
chamber, laser power supply, inlet nozzle, photomultiplier tube
detector, electronic circuit boards and components, pumps and filters
and display and panel controls which are to be housed in a cabinet. The
assemblies shall meet the Navy's minimum requirement to size and count
particles between the ranges of .5 to 15 microns, with a bandwidth of
.3 microns. See Numbered Note(s): 22 (0005) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0280 19960109\99-0001.SOL)
