16 -- DIGITAL VIDEO IMAGING TRANSMISSION SYSTEM (DVITS) FOR THE PORTABLE RADIO PROGRAM (PRP) SOL N00421-96-R-1028 DUE 123095 POC Marlin Green, Contract Specialist, (301) 342-1825 ext. 214, Doris Browder, Contracting Officer. The Navy proposes to procure on a firm-fixed basis, eighteen (18) Digital Video Imaging Transmission System (DVITS) AN/PSC-6(V)2 (#AN/PSC-6(V)2) and associated operator/maintenance manuals, eighteen (18) PSC-6 to AN/PRC-138 cable (#10375-7002), four (4) PSC-6 spare kits (#RF-3700-004-04 SSK), and one (1) high definition imagery system transmit case base station system (#RF-3700-01TC-S) with associated manuals. There is one (1) option for six (6) AN/PSC-6(V)2 with associated manuals. This procurement will support the Portable Radio Program (PRP). The communication equipment provides non-intrusive intelligence gathering and transmitting capability in situations that involve low intensity conflict. The proposed contract will be negotiated on a sole source basis with Harris Corporation, 1680 University Avenue, Rochester, NY 14610-9983 as all technical data is proprietary to that manufacturer.
