The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to enter into a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA), N00024-96-G-5220, with United Defense, Naval Systems Division of 4800 East River Road, Minneapolis, MN 55459-0043 for the issuance of orders on mulitple occasions over a 30 month period. Orders will be issued for the development of Design Agent Engineering documentation associated with the Guided Missile Launching System (GMLS) MK 26 systems and associated training equipment. Orders will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). United Defense, Naval Systems Division is currently the only manufacturer possessing the unique experience and knowledge that is necessary to meet these requirements. No other source has the technical qualifications and the necessary resources to perform the work described herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy the Navy's requirements.
