Shepard, Jr. (816) 426-3052 Contracting Officer Project generally consists of, but is not limited to the following: 1) Install equipment building plot and parking area complete with required foundations and surfacing. Install access road complete with surfacing (concrete and rock surfacing required). 2) Install one (1) 8' x 12' fiberglass equipment shelter complete with interior wiring, lighting, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and grounding. 3) Install all required grounding systems and lightning protection system complete with material, devices and hardware. 4) Trench and install all required power, signal and control cables complete with termination enclosures. 5) Install all required interior and exterior ductwork and miscellaneous electrical supplies and hardware. 6) Install Glide Slope antenna foundation and steel tower complete. 7) Install all required electrical meter boxes. The price range of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. This procurement is open to both large and small businesses. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
