The requirement is for information systems engineering for large, complex information systems encompassing inside and outside plant transmission systems, including transmission media and supporting structures; local area networks; wide area networks; telephone systems, including integrated Services Digital Networks; video teleconferencing systems; cable television systems; and intelligence and information system hardware and software. The Contractor shall provide engineering design and engineering concepts on a broad range of technical subjects such as technology trends that may impact the Fort Huachuca information system infrastructure and long-range planning for major upgrades of the Fort Huachuca information system infrastructure. Engineering designs and concepts may be provided in conference with Government personnel, in briefings, and in technical reports. Offerors must possess a Top Secret clearance to access Special Compartmented Information (SCI). Offerors must provide written certification with their request for the solicitation that they have a TSSCI clearance. Those who previously requested the solicitation must resubmit their request with a TSSCI certification. The contract type will be fixed price requirements with a base year and one option year. The estimated value is under $100,000 for each year. This will be a 100% small business set-aside. The SIC is 8711. RFP issue date will be on or about 19 Jan 1996. (0361)
