Furnish all labor, material and equipment necessary to replace the
rooftop galley ventilation system heat reclaim unit at Station Umpqua
River, Winchester Bay, Oregon. Work includes Demolition: (1) Removal of
the existing rooftop heat reclaim unit, HRU-2. (2) Removal of the
existing hot water line and the control wiring and conduit from HRU-2
down to the control panel in the galley. (3) Removal of the existing
drain line from HRU-2 down to its connection with the 2 inch waste line
located in the galley. (4) Removal of the existing supply and exhaust
ducting from HRU-2 to their roof penetrations. (5) Removal of the
existing supply and exhaust roof curbs, caps and flashing.
Installation: (1) Provide new rooftop heat reclaim unit, HRU-2. (2) Run
new hot water line and control wiring and conduit from HRU-2 down to
the control panel in the galley. Insulate the hot water line. (3) Run
a new drain line from HRU-2 down to the connection with the 2 inch
waste line located in the galley. (4) Provide new supply and exhaust
ducting from HRU-2 to their roof penetrations. (5) Provide new supply
and exhaust roof curbs, caps and flashing. The estimated cost of this
procurement is between $25,000.00 and $50,000.00. Performance period is
90 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. This procurement
is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration program
and is open to large and small businesses participation. The
applicable SIC code is 1711. Small Business size standard is Small if
its average annual Receipts for its preceeding 3 fiscal years do not
exceed $7.0 million. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which
will be considered. For Minority, Women and Disadvantaged Business
Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and
Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority,
women owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire
short-term working capital and bonding assistance for
transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT
Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates up to
$500,000 per contract to provide accounts receivable financing. The DOT
Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance
and payment bonds up to $500,000 per contract. DOT provides an 80
percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. For
