736-6547, Ext 253. Contract for Multi-discipline Indefinite Quantity
Indefinite Delivery Architectural and Engineering Services. Services
will included required disciplines of architectural, structural, civil,
environmental, electrical, and mechanical. Services will also include
site investigation and verification of as-built drawings, preparation
of plans and specifications, design analysis, construction cost and
time estimates, colorboards/renderings, permit applications, and
various studies, reports and other documents related to the design of
various projects. Field surveying, landscaping design and architectural
rendering capabilities must be identified. Disciplines and capabilities
may be represented within the same firm or with consultants that
regularly work with the primary firm. The firm also must be able to
provide part-time and/or full-time project-specified construction
inspections and field engineering services. Construction management
services may also be required. Work will be for Seymour Johnson AFB
North Carolina. The contract shall consist of a basic year and one
option year. Projects will be issued to the contractor by delivery
order. Each delivery order shall have a maximum value of $99,000. Fees
shall not exceed $250,000 per year. The selected firm shall be capable
of providing final drawings formatted in AUTOCAD Release 12. Each final
drawing file shall be provided on 3-1/2'', 1.44 Mb disks, formatted in
MS-DOS 3.3 or higher. Participation of minority-owned businesses is
encouraged. Architect/Engineer firms which meet the requirements
described in this announcement and desiring consideration shall submit
appropriate data as described below no later than 011996. This is not
a request for proposal. Considerations for selection in priority order
are as follows: 1. Specialized experience in DoD open and design
contracts for renovation and minor construction projects valued at
$10,000.00 to $500,000.00 2. Professional Qualifications of key
personnel. 3. Professional capacity to complete projects within
required time. 4. Past performance of the firm on DoD and other
contracts. 5. Location of the firm in the general geographic area of
Seymour Johnson AFB. (Note: Only companies with a local design office
within a 75 mile radius of Seymour Johnson AFB will be considered.
Capabilities of this local design office will be a primary
consideration for selection, therefore such local capabilities and
experience should be clearly distinguished from possible qualifications
of the firm based on other than the local office.) 6. Volume of recent
DoD contracts. 7. Cost control effectiveness based on recent
competitively bid contracts. 8. Full time construction inspection
capability. Architect-Engineer firms which meet the requirements
described in this announcement are invited to submit a Standard Form
254, Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire by 19 Jan
96. Firms responding to this announcement before the closing date will
be considered for selection, subject to the limitation on geographic
location. Following an initial evaluation of the qualification and
performance data submitted, three firms considered to be the most
highly qualified to provide the type of services required, will be
