70 -- SOFTWARE POC Jackie Saxon, Purchasing Agent (303) 969-7235, Jackie Saxon, Contracting Officer, (303) 969-7235 Sources Sought - The Bureau of Reclamation, Administrative Service Center (ASC) running an IBM MVS mainframe system is seeking information about software to assist in automating security and product administration tasks. Clientele will consist of approximately 20,000 individual users, from 20 different government agencies with the potential to grow significantly over the next few years. Data center provides personnel, payroll, and financial services, using IBM, Software AG, and numerous third party vendor software products. Clients generally have access to LAN, WAN, and the Internet, or access the data center via direct communication links; networks and local hardware vary widely. Tool will be used to collect and process system security and product access requests from clients under IBM's Resource Access Control Facility (RACF), and to interface with the internal security modules of in-house and commercial applications and products, making easy customization and maintenance highly desirable. Desirable functions include: positive identification of requestor; isolation of client agencies to their own assets on the system (or designated portions of same), and restriction to data center control for products which do not permit distribution of administrative tasks to clients; uniform screen presentation to the user; intuitive design; creation of reliable audit trail; easy auditability; easy viewing and changing of parameters, including set up of clients' administrators; ability to enforce relevant data center standards; on-line query and/or reporting capabilities for history, parameters, standards, and status of pending items.
