Scope of Work: Furnish all labor, equipment, material, transportation, and supervision necessary to perform the renovation and alteration of three floors of the U.S. Customs House located in Denver, CO. The renovation and alteration will consist of electrical and mechanical upgrades, installation of fire suppresion and detection systems, elevator installation, interior architectural renovation and asbestos removal. The exterior renovation work associated with this project will consist of window replacement and exterior cleaning and repointing. The time for completion of this project will be 450 days from date of Notice to Proceed. Estimated cost range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. This acquisition is conducted utilizing two-step formal advertising procedures. STEP ONE requires the offeror to submit a technical proposal, WITHOUT PRICING. The Government will evaluate and, if necessary, discuss the technical proposal with the offeroe to determine the acceptability of the services offered. STEP TWO involves the submission of bids by only those firms who submit acceptable technical proposals under step one. Plans and specififcations will be issued with the Request for Technical Proposal (RTP). The RTP will be issued o/a 12/27/95, with responses due by 01/29/96. All requests for the RTP package must be submitted in writing to the above address. There is a $250.00, NON-REFUNDABLE fee for each set of plans and specifications. Payment must be made in the form of a certified check, cashiers check or money order made payable to: GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION. This procurement is 100% set-aside for small businesses. The related small business size standard is $17 million average annual gross revenue for the last three fiscal years. Bonding will be required for this project.
