The work includes the construction of a 48,090 SF two story naval reserve readiness center with space requirements of classrooms, offices, and locker, shower and toilet rooms. The envelope consists of concrete foundation, structural joists, roof deck, single-ply roofing, insulated cavity walls, CMU gypsum board partitions, aluminum storefront with insulating glass and concrete floors. Finish materials include painted walls, ceramic tile floor, and walls, vinyl composition floor tile, fiber acoustical ceiling, paver tile floors. Door types include wood, hollow metal, aluminum entrance and overhead. Mechanical work consists of single zone constant volume horizontal air handling units with cooling coil, heating coil and built-up filter housing, outdoor air cooled chiller, zone reheat coils, direct radiation, natural gas fired forced draft cast iron hot water boilers and a direct digital temperature control system. Plumbing work involves complete sanitary sewerage, water main service and distribution, fixtures, shower, hot water heater, roof drainage and partia fire protection. Electrical work includes electric service, power distribution, exterior and interior lighting, fire alarm system, and public address, intercommunication and telephone and data system. Exterior site work includes bituminous concrete driveways and parking areas, storm and sanitary drainage, concrete sidewalks, grading, seeding and landscaping; as well as demolition of building 2711 and the foundation of building 169, including asbestos material removal.
