There is no solicitation package available. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division is investigating various alternative methods of shore based aircraft deicing, keeping in mind enviromental concerns, and seeks information as to the availability of commercial equipment. The following are areas of specific interest: Aircraft deicing trucks; Aircraft deicing solution collection trucks; Deicing solution collection method which will provide for the recycling of the solution; and Aircraft deicing facilities (built facilities which use deicing solution or any other alternate method- not necessarily chemical solutions). The above areas are not exclusive and any information on any other method is welcome.
