Z -- SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION OF BASE CIVIL ENGINEER REQUIREMENT (SABER) SOL F65503-94-R0001 DUE 040396. Contact Jeffrey McMillan, (907) 377-4141, Eielson AFB, Alaska. Contractor shall furnish all plant, material, labor, equipment and work necessary for the Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineer Requirements (SABER) Contract at Eielson AFB, Alaska. The subject acquisition is for a broad range of maintenance, repair, and minor construction work on real property at Eielson AFB and its associated sites. The work is required in support of 354 CES, Base Civil Engineer (BCE) activities. The contract will be an indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity type contract and will include a wide variety of individual construction tasks as identified in the Unit Price Book (UPB). During the contract period, the BCE will identify construction tasks required to complete each specific job, and Operational Contracting will negotiate and issue individual delivery orders to the contractor to complete those jobs. The contractor will be required to furnish all material, equipment, and personnel necessary to manage and accomplish the projects. The contractor will be required to maintain a management office on Eielson AFB in order to receive delivery orders and provide other management services related to accomplishing individual jobs. Individual jobs will vary in size and complexity. The jobs will include tasks in a variety of trades, including carpentry, road repair, roofing, excavating, interior electrical, steam fitting, plumbing, sheet metal, painting, demolition, concrete masonry, and welding. The guaranteed contract minimum is $100,000, and the proposed maximum is $7,000.000. The average value of SABER delivery orders Air Force wide, for the period 1990-1993 was $40,000 per year. The performance period will be a twelve month basic year with 4 twelve-month option years to be executed at the Government's option. The proposed acquisition is open to both large and small businesses. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by this agency. Requests for a copy of the Request for Proposal (RFP) must be submitted in writing stating whether your organization is large, small or small disadvantaged business and a telephone number. A nonrefundable fee of $150.00 will be charged each offeror requesting a copy of the RFP. This fee must be submitted in the form of a cashier's check, certified check, or money order made out to the US Treasury. Requests for proposal should be submitted no later than 29 Feb 96.
