PROKO, (215)697-9620 FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire services that provide training/support assistance in the design, loading, and tuning of IDMS applications and data bases. This specific requirement is for 21,876 hours of on-site ADP Support Services beginning 1 Feb 96 and running through 31 Jan 99, inclusive of options. The required services will support system development, data base training, and data base conversion and implementation at the Naval Inventory Control Points (NAVICP), Stockpoints and Naval Ordnance Center (NOC). The period of performance under this requirement reflects the Governments minimum needs for this period. The eventual contract action for this requirement will be negotiated with Computer Associates, Inc. of Reston, VA under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This firm is the developer and holds proprietary interests in the software currently used at the above facilities. Interested parties may identify their interests and technical capability to respond to this announcement. Interested parties who contend that they are technically qualified should submit within forty-five days from date of this notice, sp ecific factual data to be used as an evaluation to determine competence to successfully perform the required services. Technical services received within this timeframe will be considered by the Government, although the Government reserves the right not to open this requirement to competition based upon technical responses to this notice. Technical responses and requests received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
