The U.S. Marshals Service is interested in locating sources for Electronic Restraint Belts. The belts shall be contained in hard casings to provide maximum protection from damage by prisoners. The units shall contain a power source that will not be exposed in any fashion to prevent prisoner tampering. The units shall deliver approximately 50,000 volts. The electronic discharge must not cause permanent damage or long term injury. Interested parties should send descriptive literature to the above point of contact by January 5, 1996. This notice is not a request for offers or proposals and the Government will not compensate any source for the cost incurred in developing and producing submitted information. (0347)
