The FAA's Monopulse Secondary Surveillance Radar (MSSR) System Requirement Document (SRD) will contain an Appendix with requirements for selective addressing and reduced capacity data link. Though the core requirement of the ATCBI Replacement Program is for MSSR systems, future requirements may drive expanded capability. Therefore, the FAA anticipates testing this additional functionality under the Phase 1 contracts as available from the respective contractors at time of test.
