804/441-6560 Drydock and Repair NOAA Ship OREGON II to be performed at
the contractor's facility. Performance period to commence
approximately March 4, 1996, and shall be completed within 32 calendar
days thereafter. Basic contract items include such items as Sea Valves
and Scupper Valves; Hull Zincs, Underwater Body and Boottop Painting;
Trawl Winch Repairs; Emergency Generator and Emergency Switchboard
Upgrade; Reverse Osmosis Units Seawater Pump Installation; and others
In addition there will be two option items: Main Switchboard Breakers
and Pilot House Windows Repairs. Vessels homeport is Pascagoula, MS.
However, vessel is operating out of Morehead City, NC prior to yard
period therefore, foreseeable costs will be calculated from NC and
return to Pascagoula, MS. Vessel will be available for inspection on
January 29, 1996, in Morehead City. Characteristics of NOAA Ship OREGON
II: Length Overall - 170 feet; Beam (moulded) - 34 feet; Forward Draft
- 11 feet-4 inches; Aft Draft - 13 feet - 4 inches; Displacement - 870
long tons; Propulsion - Diesel-single screw CPP, twin Fairbanks-Morse
720 BHP each; Electric Service - 440 volt A.C., 3 phase, 200 AMP
