Approach Control(CERAP) Operations Room Modernization, San Juan, Puerto
Rico.--Work includes, but is not limited to, interior renovations of
approximately 5,000 square feet of open plan operations room
environment, and office space on the second floor of the operations
building. Approximately 900 square feet of associated mechanical and
electrical equipment space located directly below on the first floor;
and exterior renovations to install new stair and canopy. Work includes
general demolition, asbestos abatement, interior architectural
renovation including installation of raised floors, suspended ceilings
and gypsum walls; HVAC renovation, control system installation, fire
protection system, lighting, electrical power distribution, and
plumbing. The contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, equipment,
materials, supplies, and transportation required to perform and
complete the work in strict accordance with the contract drawings and
specifications.--Estimated performance time 530 days--Estimated price
range is $1,000,000.00 - $2,500,000.00.--All responsible sources may
submit a bid which shall be considered.--NOTE: This Notice is for
informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged
Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of
Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to
assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged businessenterprises to
acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for
transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible
prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program
enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to
$1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on
the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under
the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to
provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is
