A -- VALIDATION OF A NEW FOOD FREQUENCY QUESTIONNAIRE (FFQ) SOL RFP-N01-CN-65010-05 DUE 021696 POC Contact Point, Gary P. Topper, (301)496-8603 Contract Specialist, Victor S. The purpose of this proposed contract is to select and recruit a study group of 1,600 free living men and women 20-70 years of age (diverse in age, gender, race/ethnicity, and education) to: 1) administer and analyze a demographic questionnaire, four 24 hour recalls, and three food frequency questionnairies (FFQs), 2) collect and analyze carotenoid values from blood specimens on a randomly selected 20% sample of the 1,600 selected adults, and 3) store blood specimens from this same subsample for future analyses. Requests for this solicitation must be in writing and reference the RFP Number. The RFP is tentatively scheduled for release on January 2, 1996. One award is anticipated.
