The requirement is for upgrade of fleet installed INMARSAT ''A'' terminals to a ''B'' digital configuration and procurement of new terminals in support of planned fleet installations. This includes provision of upgrade kits, a combination of kits and new terminals, or replacement terminals that provide voice, fax and data services. Logistics documentation, installation and technical support services are also required. The contractor will upgrade or replace approximately 100 Magnavox model MX-2400 and 140 Saturn model 3S.90 type ''A'' terminals to a ''B'' configuration and provide an estimated 50 ''B'' terminals. Prior to contract award, contractor(s) will be required to provide evidence through submission of documentation and by demonstration that the proposed hardware meets or exceeds technical requirements for INMARSAT Certification, Emission Control Standards, STU III Comparability, Electromagnetic Interface requirements, Gyro Interface Requirements, System operation given 400 ft. cable lengths between the below deck hardware and the antenna system, and physical and environmental requirements. The proposed contract will be an Indefinite Quantity contract with firm fixed pricing. The period of performance will be a one-year base period with four one-year options for a total contract duration of five years.
