Specialist, STEPHENS, DWIGHT, 202-508-8500 Federal Prison Industries,
Incorporated intends to issue a solicitation for the purchase of
100-ton hydraulic press for FCI El Reno, Oklahoma. The salient
characteristics of the machine is as follows: welded steel frame with
1-/4'' thick side plates, heavy throat plate, and deep ribbing, minimun
deflection (gapping). Table and ram plates held parallel within .003''
per foot. RAM travel square to table within .001'' in any 4'' section
of stoke. Bed bolster plate gound steel: 4'' thick, removable for
machining. Bed bolster plate supported by deep welded in ribs. Plain
bed bolster plate blind bolted to frame from below. Clear area 24 X 3
behind table. Single ram link guides the ram throughout the stroke.
Prevents ram rotation. Compact tool mounting plate attached to ram end.

options. Other features include: open gap press, C-frame, 100-tons,
overall height 24''; motor horse speed 1800 rpms (30); weight 15,000
lbs.; will be provided in the solicitation. The solicitation will
result in a firm fixed price contract with a 12-14 week period of
