70 -- MAINTENANCE OF EXISTING SUN WORKSTATIONS AND SERVERS, UPGRADE TO EXISTING SUN SERVERS AS WELL AS PURCHASE OF NEW SUN SYSTEMS; PURCHASE AND MAINTENANCE OF NEW UNIX-BASED WORKSTATIONS AND SERVERS SOL YD-142201. TVA intends to purchase the following goods or services by Competitive Negotiation: An indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract for the following schedules: (1) maintenance of existing SUN workstations and servers; (2) upgrades to existing SUN systems as well as purchase of additional new SUN systems; (3) purchase and maintenance of new UNIX-based workstations and servers. Award will be made by schedules. A separate award will be made on Schedule 1 and a separate award will be made on Schedules 2 and 3. Term of contract shall be for one year with the option to extend for four additional one-year periods. The contract integrator shall have at least 3 years experience maintaining, delivering, and installing systems similar in size and complexity to those specified in the solicitation document. This previously was advertised in the CBD on September 12, 1995, and was setaside as a competitive 8(a) procurement. However, this requirement has been withdrawn from the 8(a) program and will now be procured using full and open competition.
