materials, equipment, superintendence, coordination, and incidentals
needed to replace the existing water cooled chillers, cooling towers,
pump motors, cooling tower fan motors and all associated valves,
fittings, and piping. Add new chilled and hot water pumps. Add new
exhaust fan at chiller room. Replace existing pneumatic controls with
new partial DDC Controls for stand alone operation of the chiller room,
boiler room and cooling tower yard only. Provide electrical to all
associated power, conduit, VFD, etc., for all related mechanical
equipment and systems Provide concrete pad at cooling yard and add an
additional pier footing prior to installation of the cooling towers.
Provide new equipment stand on the west wing roof to accomodate new and
future air cooled chiller. Remove and dispose of all hazardous
materials located in the chiller room and in the cooling towers. The
estimated cost range is $1,000,000 to $3,000,000. The contract period
is approximately 365 calendar days. This procurement is being made
under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program.
Although this procurement is unrestricted and open to both large and
small businesses, small and disadvantaged firms are encouraged to
participate. Before award of the contract, large businesses will be
required to submit an acceptable small business and small disadvantaged
business subcontracting plan in accordance with Public Law 95-507
(small businesses are exempt). The solicitation will be available on or
about December 20, 1995. A limited number of specifications will be
available and will be issued on a first come first serve basis. Request
