Privott, 804/441-6560 Provide technical support for the U.S. Dept of Commerce, National Ocean Service, Atlantic Operations Section, Chesapeake, Virginia for the period January 8, 1996 thru September 30, 1996. Work will cover a wide variety of electronic and/or engineering tasks. Field support activities are to be performed at the Atlantic Operations Section office and warehouse facility in Chesapeake, VA and may include travel to various National Ocean Service water level recording stations located along the coasts. Daily duties include staging, assembling and preparing gage components, protective enclosures, support bracing and field equipment for deployment. Driving of government vehicles may be required to perform job related activities in the Virginia Tidewater area. Sources must have (1) strong background, knowledge and experience in electronics engineering and/or computer science, mechanical and/or civil engineering; (2) knowledge and experience in C programming language, as well as other languages; (3) strong written and oral communication skills. Estimated level of effort is 3,056 man hours (1,528 man hours per person). All responsible sources may submit a offer which shall be considered by the agency.
