This project consists of an expansion of an existing building of approximately 8,700 square feet at the Wildcat Station in Plano, Texas. The project will also renovate full service counter, box lobby, support areas and addition of a new postal store. Also exterior work includes revising customer parking area. This is a multi-phase construction project, and the Postal Service will maintain operations utilizing modular trailers for customer use as well as the existing workroom for carriers. Estimated cost range $1,600,000 to $1,700,000 and construction time is 300 calendar days. All interested Contractors are urged to attend a Preproposal Conference to be held at the job site, 2901 W Parker Road, Plano, TX 75023-999 on December 5, 1995 at 10:00 am. Successful offeror must submit their Subcontracting Plan for Small and Minority-Owned and Woman-0wned Business initially and thereafter with their progress payment requests. The contractor must subcontract with minority business firms in an amount aggregating not less than 10% of the total value of its subcontracts. A 20% proposal bond is required on all proposals. The successful contractor will be required to provide 100% Performance and 50% Payment Bonds. Offers will be received in this office, prior to, but not later than 3:30 pm on December 20, 1995.
