Coast Guard Yard, Curtis Bay, MD. The work includes, but is not limited to two piers (30 x 335 feet) constructed of cast in place concrete decking supported on pre- stressed concrete piles. A large land side work area (150 x 450 feet) of cast in place concrete and pile supported. Railroad track for transport of the vessels and major utility construction to support vessels and maintenance operations. Dredging is also included. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with Specification No. 80-01-87 and Drawing No. 80-01-87. All work for the base bid and any options exercised at time of award shall be completed within 330 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. All work for the any options exercised after award shall be completed within an additional 365 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. Plans (half-size), specifications, and all necessary bid documents will be available approximately 20 December 1995 and may be obtained by submitting a check in the amount of $35.00 per set (non-refundable) made payable to the U. The solicitation is unrestricted IAW the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses.
