STANDALONE METERS/POSTAGE METERS & SOFTGUARD PROTECTION SOL 282-96-0010 POC Deloris Agee tel: 301/443-2475/Margaret Kelly, Contracting Officer, (301)443-2475 The Indian Health Service (IHS) intends to negotiate a sole-source contract with Pitney Bowes Federal Government District, 6100 Lincolnia Road, Alexandria, VA 22312 for the following: 1) rental renewal for 83-Standalone Meters (Model 6902), 2) rental renewal for 86-Postage Meters (Model 6505), 3) maintenance and softguard protection for 5 LC 3-lb. scales, 41 EMS-5 5-lb. scales, 15 EMS-10 10-lb. scales, 32 LMS-30 30-lb. scales, 21 LMS-70 70-lb. scales, 2 A120 Shipping Systems; and 4) maintenance for 49 5600 Low Volume Mail Machines, 26 5630 Medium-High Volume Mail Machines, and 7 A300 Allocators. The meter heads and standalone meters cannot be purchased. The response time for maintenance must be within 4-6 hours and machines are located in 158 locations within IHS area offices and remote Indian reservations. This acquisition has a base year plus two(2) option year provisions. This synopsis is a sole-source action as authorized in FAR 6.302.1 (supplies or services are considered to be only source).
